Kiwanis - Serving the Children of the World
Serving the Children of the World

“LOVE IT, SHARE IT, LIVE IT”   What does that mean to you?

For me it is the love of being a Kiwanian and helping our community.  At least once a day I share that I am a Kiwanian and include something that our club does for the community.

It is said you have to do something 21 times for it to become a habit.  After 21 times of sharing our works, I feel I’m living life as a Kiwanian.

As this year President, the message that I want to bring to our club is, “Believe in what we do!”

Spend a little time every day letting people know you are a Kiwanian.  Promote our club, be visible, wear your club t-shirt or sport your Kiwanis sweatshirt to an event.  Always wear your Kiwanis cap with pride.

Why is this important?  Look around the room at our next weekly Kiwanis meeting.  Take note of our aging numbers.  5 – 10 years from now we will not have a club if each and every one of us doesn’t play our part in helping to increase our numbers.

Life doesn’t allow all of us to volunteer on a regular basis.  So to those members I ask you to do your part by helping us grow.  Talk to your neighbor, strike up a conversation in the grocery store.  Share your Kiwanis enthusiasm and watch people get excited.

Lastly, “Thank You!”   You are all amazing and valuable members to this club.  Whether you are volunteering for Flags, Duck Race, free lunch program, Sees Candy sales or helping to pull weeds.  You are all needed and appreciated.

It takes each and every one of us doing our parts to make our club successful. Because of all of you and your hard work, I truly feel that we are exceptionally successful!

From Oct 1st 2010 to Sept 30th 2015, we have given $106,021.00 in grants to community.

We DO make a difference!

Thank you for trusting me to be your President
